Jay Maitland is classified as a Surveyor Associate (SA) by the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors® (SAMS®).
He has completed the following courses at the Chapman School of Seamanship in Port Salerno, Florida:
Jay established Lakeside Marine Surveys LLC after retiring from a 33 year career in law enforcement as a way to combine his professional background conducting and managing investigations with his lifelong interest in boating. Living near the south shore of Lake Ontario and owning property on Sodus Bay positions him to serve the Finger Lakes, Central and Western New York, and the Thousand Island regions.
Jay is committed to serving his customers by providing high quality, thorough, detailed, and objective surveys that exceed industry standards and provide the information needed to make decisions about a boat purchase or sale.
